Il gattino arriva nella nuova casa:

- Nei primi giorni lascialo entrare solo in una o due camere, ciò lo aiuterà a non sentirsi confuso.

- Colloca la lettiera sempre nella stessa camera così la troverà facilmente. I gattini imparano presto ad usare la lettiera, glielo insegna la mamma.

- Nascondi i cavi elettrici perché il gattino potrebbe morderli.

- Tieni le finestre chiuse o metti una rete alle finestre per evitare cadute.

- Elimina piante da appartamento pericolose come la stella di Natale, i gigli e i ciclamini.

- E’ importante che il tuo gattino abbia una cuccia comoda con una copertina lavabile per dormirci e un tiragraffi, così non rovinerà i mobili con le unghie.

- Usa due ciotole: una per il cibo e una per l’acqua, non è necessario dare a un gattino di 12 settimane del latte, potrebbe provocargli la diarrea.

- Introduci gradualmente cibi nuovi ad es. scatolette di marche diverse o di un altro gusto.

- Spazzola il gattino una o due volte a settimana.

- E’ consigliabile tagliare le unghie del gattino ogni tanto e anche pulirgli le orecchie e controllargli i denti.

A kitten arrives in a new house:

- During the first days let her visit only one or two rooms, so she doesn’t get confused.

- Put the litter box always in the same room, so she will find it easily. Kittens learn early to use the litter box, their mommy teach them how to do it.

- Hide electrical cables because they are dangerous if your kitten bites them.

- Keep your windows closed or put a net on them because your kitten could fall from the window.

- Don’t keep in your house poisonous plants such as poinsettias, cyclamens and lilies.

- Your kitten needs a sleeping basket with a washable blanket to sleep in it and a scratching post, so she will not damage your furniture with her claws.

- Use 2 bowls: one for food and the other one for water. It is not necessary to give a 12 weeks old kitten any milk, it could cause diarrhea.

- Introduce gradually new kinds of food for example canned food of various tastes and firms.

- Brush your kitten once or twice a week. Sometimes, cut her claws, clean her ears and control her teeth.
